At Coastal Climbing Centre, we offer a low-stress learning environment for new climbers, fun and cost effective climbing parties for birthdays and events, thought-provoking routes for experienced climbers, and challenging boulder problems for climbers of every ability. Expect high quality free coffee and tea, super friendly reception staff, and patient and thorough instructors.

We host fun and challenging competitions, members’ nights, and fundraising events. Also, we always try to give back to the community though supporting various local charitable organizations through donations and climbing discounts to Police, Fire, & EMT.

Our youth team is an established force in local competitions and we’re always on the lookout for new talent. Also, our Little Lions Climbing Club for ages 5 to 9 is the first of its kind in the Lower Mainland.

HISTORY

Established in 1993, Coastal Climbing Centre started life as Vertical Reality. In the early days, it was a home for people with a passion for climbing and a gateway for taking their craft outside onto real rock. Although the name has changed, the passion for climbing has not. Our original goal of introducing people to climbing while maintaining a rigorously high-quality standard for our creative route setting continues to this day.

With over 75 years of climbing experience on staff, it is safe to say that the love for climbing is alive and going strong. If you are feeling that same pull to the adventurous outdoor vertical world, come on by and share the stoke!

Located in Surrey BC, Coastal Climbing Centre has been providing the community with quality indoor climbing and instruction for over 20 years. Through those years we have helped elevate the community both literally and figuratively.

Each year, over ten thousand new and veteran climbers pass through our doors, striving for new heights. Whether that is their first time leaving the ground, climbing to the top of our walls, training for larger mountain objectives, or getting over their fear of heights and falling, Coastal Climbing Centre has helped countless climbers reach their goals while having fun doing it! With a passion for sharing our love of climbing, we look forward to elevating Surrey and the surrounding areas for many more years to come.
